10 Year Anniversary and Grand Opening Sept. 14th

To celebrate we are inviting all artists who have exhibited or participated in 555′s exhibits to submit work.  An exhibit will open and celebrations will begin September 14th at 3pm along with our partner Southwest Solutions and neighbor Detroit Farm and Garden.  An outdoor ceremony will be followed by performances by Monica Blaire, Flatland Star and more.

The ceremony for the grand opening runs 3:30 – 4:15PM, followed by an opportunity to tour the building and enjoy the spaces of 555 and DFG.

This event will kick-off an evening and weekend of other celebratory activities organized by 555 and DFG, including performances, a new gallery exhibit, classes, and much more.

From Ann Arbor, to Ypsilanti, and now Detroit we are settling into our new home in the old third precinct.  With the support of many we will continue to build a creative community.
Submissions
Artist’s can submit up to three pieces to be selected from, one will be exhibited during the salon style show.  Images of work can be emailed to monte@555arts.org, a $15 submission fee can be paid online.  2D Work should be approximately 20″x20″, 3D work approximately 24″x36″ for indoor display.  Installations, performance, video and sound pieces will be considered.  Deadline for submissions August 31st.  Exhibition period from September 14-October 27th.
